Hey Loves!
Don't let fear or insecurity stop you from trying new things. Believe in yourself. Do what you love. And most importantly, be kind to others, even if you don't like them. Stacy London
I've wanted to do a fashion show for a few years. I've constantly asked myself who would come. I've said I don't have time. I've doubted my ability to come up with enough designs, but my circle kept saying you can do it. I never did!
A couple of weeks back, I was asked to collaborate on a fashion show. For a second, I said no in my mind. But my heart spoke up loud and clear and I agreed. I'm so glad I did.
Today, on the first day of fall (the season when all things shed in preparation for new life), 2 of my designs were showcased in a fashion show. Baby, they shined (literally and figuratively)! I'm so grateful for the opportunity! Who would have thought 2 AME church girls would link up years later to make some black girl magic?! She brought the styling and glam team and I brought her two of my designs based on 3 fall fashion week trends: ruching, metallic, and animal prints.
Last weekend, I listened to numerous speakers at a conference speak about pressing forward. Well, I'm pressing. No more sitting on my gift or letting fear stop me, I'm moving forward. Pressing and Shining!
I'm excited to announce that you can purchase a customized version of this maxi.
Until next time, Smooches!
