Have you ever seen fabric that you had to have? Of course you have! That's what happened with the fabric. I stalked it on FabricMart. Then one day it was on sale, 4 yards for $6.40. Guess who swiped it up along with a bunch of other fabric.
Recently, I was sorting through my fabric and noticed it. I immediately thought fireworks, perfect for the 4th. I've been thinking about pants and tops a lot lately, but was nervous about this print in pants. I'm a little heavy on the bottom so I try not to be too bold in pants. I found a pattern that I used for shorts a few years ago and dug in.

I tried really hard to match the pattern. Look at the front and back above. That turned out good, but look arty the photo below. Matching the back and front didn't go so well, see below.
But, I love them! They scream fireworks to me.
What do you think? I love this project. It satisfies the thrifty person in me (cost about $4 to make) and the creative person in me (cute expression of me).
