Hey Loves,
I'm back with a project that's near to my heart...physically and psychologically.
I've had a rough start to 2019. I hope that I never experience another minute, hour, day, week, month, or year that carries the hurt that I've experienced this year. But, like all adverse situations, I've found myself learning and evolving. Though I've wanted to say F*(% IT and go back to an older version of me, I've held on to myself and learned to just be me and to enjoy the people and things that matter.
So, on a day that wasn't particularly great, I had to go to Wal-Mart to pick something up. I decided walk to walk through the fabric section. Almost everything was on clearance. I stopped to sift through it and I saw a fabric that said live laugh love with little hearts. A small tear formed in my eye. I knew I had to buy it. It was simple but it spoke volumes to me that day.
It took a while for me to decide what to make but when I saw NL A6560 I knew it was perfect for that fabric...a super cute top for a super cute fabric. I need work tops so this fit right into all of my sewing plans.
Here's my review of the pattern:
Conclusion: I love this shirt! It looks good at work and on the weekend. It is also comfy and cute! And now, every time I wear it, I'll be reminded, even on the roughest days, to still live, laugh, and love!
Until next time, Smooches!

Here's my review of the pattern:
- Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it did! It's looks like a top I've purchased.
- Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were very easy to follow. I actually followed them with no modifications or short cuts.
- What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the simplicity but cuteness of the pattern. The little details - like the front yoke and gathering in the front - give it the little extra that makes it hard for people to believe I made it. I don't know if there was anything about the pattern that I didn't like.
- Fabric Used: I used a printed cotton from Wal-Mart. I was having a rough day and found this cute "live, love, laugh" print. I was even able to purchase 2 yards for $4.
- Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: My inside ribbon is a little bigger than the recommended size.
- Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes! Yes! Yes!
Conclusion: I love this shirt! It looks good at work and on the weekend. It is also comfy and cute! And now, every time I wear it, I'll be reminded, even on the roughest days, to still live, laugh, and love!
