I'm late getting this out but better late than never.
I chat with some other sewcialists quite often. They all dabble in bag making. I'm the odd man out. I tried it a few times and it was OK. I won't say it's my favorite thing. When Lee of lejanaro.com asked me to test her first pattern I was excited and scared. I planned to make it as an accessory in my first look in my self made wardrobe (more on that later), but I haven't gotten around to it. So, tonight I decided to just make it. I needed a mental break from my other projects.
Here's my review and some pics:
Pattern Description:
Small clutch bag with optional wristlet
Pattern Sizing:
One size - Slim and Compact
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? It looked similar to the examples on the blog.
Were the instructions easy to follow?

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the simplicity of the pattern. The finished product is cute as well. There are lots of options to customize the bag.
Fabric Used:
Metallic Faux Leather for exterior
Pink Bandana Print in quilt weight cotton fur lining
Both from a Wal-Mart
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I only made one alteration. I used hook and loop instead of a magnetic snap. It's not visible so it doesn't take away from the cuteness of the bag. I opted not to add the wristlet. I have a pearl one I add to all my clutches when I need a wristlet.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I'm going to make these for teacher appreciation week. I recommend this to anyone wanting to make a simple, cute bag.
Conclusion:
This was a good distraction from my many other projects. I needed to see a finished project that I really like! Make one. You'll love it.
Oh, for all the sports fans, this bag meets the clear bag requirements for most sporting events. Make one to support your favorite team!
