Sew with Me: Following the Trend

Hey Loves, It's been a minute...well, more like a month!  I've missed this blog.  While I've been away,  I've made Christmas gifts (post coming soon) and thought about how I want to use this blog to help myself and others. I'll be updating some things and bringing new stuff to you all. Anyway,  this post is not about all that.  It's almost about the African print maxi skirt trend.  I resisted for as long as I could. Then, the hubby suggested I make one.   So, I went to JoAnn's and found a beautiful metallic print fabric.   These pictures don't do it justice.  It took me a while to finish it. I had sewer's block.  It covered one of my dress forms for weeks. I used my own measurements to create this high waist skirt with pockets . In total, I spent 3 hours working on it. I love it!   I will probably make a few more,  midi length,  knee length,  and mini length. Tell me your thoughts.  Do you like the trend?  Would you wear one?
