Black or White: Inspired by New York Fashion Week

Hi Loves! I'm really excited to share my latest creation.  I saw a really cute black and white ITY knit in Hancock Fabrics for $3.95.  I bought 2.5 yards, not knowing what I was going to make.  Browsing the web for spring and summer fashion ideas, I ran across a really cute black and white two piece by Josie Natori for New York Fashion Week. The light came on. I sat down for 2 hours and came up with this little number.  It's very comfortable and versatile.  I can wear it to church, work, shopping, or date night.  It looks great with flats or my regular 4+ inch heels.  With the right accessories, it goes every where! I love the fit.  It hugs in all the right places.  I traced the bottom of a tank dress to create shape of the skirt and extended it to make a maxi.  I traced a shirt I love for the top shape.  It's not exactly like the Josie Natori but it's perfect for me.  You have to make fashion trends your own. Check me out! Until next time, smooches! DJ

Vacation Wardrobe

Hey Loves!  I'm fresh off a great girls' trip.  We thoroughly enjoyed our time away from the kids and the hubbies. The beach was so relaxing and the views were breathtaking.  The best part of the trip was stepping out with my sister and friend.  We were all wearing something designed by me.  We all looked good too.  Thanks to tutorials I found on YouTube by Meesha (may she rest in peace) I was able to create these three looks. Here are links to the tutorials: Batwing Dress - http://youtu.be/AnzFrngsxoc Peplum (skirt & top) - modified, http://youtu.be/WqRC74lonlo We felt good.  We looked good.  We had a great time!  Check us out! I'm beat but I'm ready for the next one! Smooches,

Tulle Skirt: A Girly Way to Celebrate

Hey Loves! I'm back.  I told you all I've been busy.   This is one of my favorites so far.  It's my May submission for MAGAM.  Yes, I said May.  I'm a few weeks late, but better late than never. How many of you have seen those really cute tulle skirts and thought in your little girl voice, " I want one."  If you haven't, I have.  There's a little girl that wants to play princess way down inside.  May 24th & 31st, she came out to play! Here are my inspirations for my creations: Posh Baby Boutique http://ilovemykidsblog.net/2012/06/pixie-magic-rainbow-tutu-skirt-giveaway.html Red tutu tulle skirt, petitcoat, adult tulle skirt (see more red tutu skirts ) Here are my creations:   Tulle Skirts for the Young and Young at Heart Tulle Skirt for the Young: One of my favorite little divas is five now.  She is so full of life and she's cute as a button!  I felt so privileged to make her tutu
