45 Minute DIY Clutch

I recently ran across an idea in JoAnn's Fabrics:  a clutch from a placemat. A teenage church member asked me to make her a clutch after seeing one that I made for myself (post coming soon).  So, I thought this is the perfect opportunity to try out the placemat idea. Here's how it turned out: 45 Minute DIY Clutch Click here to see how I made it. I'll definitely be making more of these for me.  I love clutches.  My everyday bag is a pewter envelope clutch. Congratulations Are In Order, Part 2: DIY Wedding Gift

So, in  Congratulations Are In Order, Part 1: DIY Wedding Gift , I told you all about the gift I made for a dear friend's wedding. But, I didn't mentioned the cool card I made as well. I got the idea from Jessi at  Practically Functional .  She has an awesome tutorial on making a wedding greeting card.  Thanks Jessi. I didn't have time to go to the store to pick up a card so I made my own.  I made a few modifications from Jessi's card but it's the same basic concept. So, I combed through my photos.  There in the my many pictures I found 3 photos of me wearing my favorite green tunic, a gift from the hubby.  This tunic has gone on many vacations, to many parties, and even to work. 1 Tunic 3 Ways Yes, all of these pictures are of me.  I like to experiment with hairstyles. Let's talk about the three looks: The 1st Look - Party Fit: Tunic paired with bronze belt, bronze sandals, and minimal gold accessories. This is the way my hubby intended for it to be worn. He thinks I can wear just about anything.  I think it's great that he loves my body. The 2nd Look - Date Fit: Tunic paired with dark denim, colorful sandals, and minimal gold accessories.  Hubby and

It was a beautiful day.  It was the perfect day for a light and airy sundress.  So, I was glad I packed one of my recent Target finds.  I was really comfortable.  Grandma didn't say I was overdressed this time so this fit is a winner. Here's what I wearing: Dress - Target , $8.38 Shoes - JustFab , $39.99 Belt - Borrowed from my niece Jewelry - Gifts and Burlington

Pinterest and football

Football season is here.   I'm so excited.  How excited?! So excited that I went to Pinterest to find some game day food for my family. Yes, I'll use any excuse to get on Pinterest. Of course, I found something worth making - chicken pizza muffins. I found this simple and quick recipe at doughmesstic.com .
