One of My Favorite Hobbies

A few years ago my dear sweet hubby told me I needed a hobby that did not include a computer.  I thought he was jealous of my computer time, but one day while in Wal-Mart he walked on the craft aisle and stopped in front of the jewelry making supplies.  He said, "That's it.  You can do this!" Always up to a challenge, I accepted the "gift".  This has become one of the my favorite hobbies.  Most of my friends expect jewelry for their birthdays.  We fondly call my jewelry creations items from Chelsea's Chest.  I thought I would share some of these creations with you. DIY Baby Closet Dividers

I haven't been blogging as much as I want.  BUT there is an awesome reason why.  I have a new little guy! Between him and the big little guy I have very little time to blog.  While waiting for the little guys next feeding, I decided to share a little project I did for the nursery.  It is so simple and couple be a little project for your older children, nieces, or nephews to help with. This was an opportunity I couldn't let pass.  With two boys, I don't get an opportunity to make gifts for girls often. I took a trip to Wal-mart to build an outfit for the birthday girl. The outfit consists of a pair of purple leggings,  a tutu,  and a white fitted t-shirt. Cost: Shirt                $3.47 Leggings        $4.97 Tulle               $9.56 Total            $18.00 The tutus alone generally cost double that amount.  I made the tutu for a fraction of what it costs to buy a custom made tutu.   I had fun doing it. Procedure: I followed the tutorial from wowzzydotcom .   It's really easy to follow. Here are a few issues I ran into: No waist measurement! You can use waist measurements based on little girls' clothing sizes if you don't know the child's waist measurements.  I used the size
